Catch 22 with 3 nice fish in a row!

Well the Catch 22 with Capt. Scott Stanczyk has started a nice little streak the past couple of weeks. They have been out 3 trips and caught 3 fish. The last fish they caught was on the 27th of May, and it was in 20 – 25 knot winds. It was tough conditions, and that would be the only boat I would recommend with seas that high. They had 2 bites that day in the 10′ swells, and pulled the hook on the first. They didn’t give up though and sent down another bait and WHAM! After a 2 hour fight they put a 230 lb broadbill swordfish on the deck! On Saturday the 25th of May both the Bn’M II and Catch 22 fished. On the Bn’M II we never had a swordfish bite, but we did catch a dozen mahi, which is common in the summer months, including a nice 30 lb bull. The Catch 22 had 1 swordfish bite and made the most of it. The fish came to the surface early, but then got wrapped up and went back down to the bottom. It took nearly 4 hours to bring the 250 lb swordfish to the boat. They also caught half a dozen mahi on the way out. A week before that the Catch 22 fished a couple hours for swords and got 1 bite as well, and it turned out to be a 146 lb broadbill. Needless to say the Bn’M crew has some catching up to do, but we will be hard at it the next few weeks. Feel free to email me when you are ready to book your trip!
